Anna Victoria Anthony

Anna Victoria Anthony, 17, a senior at Cambridge Central School, died tragically as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, Nov. 20, 2006.

Born Dec. 31, 1988, in Volgograd, Russia, she was the daughter of Natasha Zdanova Anthony of Cambridge and Dmitri Sedyshev of Canada.

When Anna was ten years old, she and her mother immigrated to the United States. She started classes at Cambridge Central School in the fourth grade.

In 2003, Anna proudly became a United States citizen.

Gifted in so many ways, Anna played the clarinet, was an accomplished artist and played volleyball. While completing her senior classes in Cambridge, she was also taking classes at Hudson Valley Community College as well as working in Greenwich at Beth's Cafe.  She had a wonderful sense of humor while still being a very sensitive girl.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Harold Anthony of Cambridge; her maternal grandparents, Nina and Vassili Zdanov of Russia; four step siblings, Scott, and his wife, Beth Anthony, of Greenwich, Trenton, and his wife, Erin Anthony, of Ballston Spa, April Anthony, and her husband, James Busby, of Raleigh, N.C. and Alison Anthony of Raleigh, N.C. and four step nieces and nephews.

This beautiful, talented girl, whose life was much too short, will be greatly missed.
