died
Thursday,
May 26,
2006, in a
motor
vehicle
accident.
They were
the sons of
Alan B. Bell
of Cambridge
and Dorothy
Chester Bell
of
Greenwich.
The boys
were born in
Cambridge:
Alan on June
15, 1986,
and Nathan
on Oct. 3,
1988.
Alan
graduated
from
Cambridge
Central
School,
class of
2004. After
scoring 99
points of a
possible 100
on the
United
States Navy
aptitude
test, he
joined the
Navy and
went into
the Navy
nuclear
power
program. He
graduated
from A
School and
Nuclear
Power School
in
Charleston,
S.C. He was
currently
stationed at
the Naval
Nuclear
Prototype
Unit,
Ballston
Spa., N.Y.,
where he was
a machinist
mate
fireman.
Nathan was a
junior at
Cambridge
Central
School with
aspirations
for future
study in
environmental
science. He
was very
artistic and
enjoyed his
classes with
Marge Ridler
and Julie
Dugan. He
had taken
several
courses in
the sport of
sword
fencing and
was quite
accomplished.
He also
liked
wrestling,
boxing and
making sport
videos.
The brothers
were avid
hunters and
fishermen,
both
belonging to
the Salem
Fish and
Game Club.
They were
also members
of the Sons
of the
American
Legion,
Captain
Maxson Post
in
Cambridge.
Along with
their
parents,
they are
survived by
a sister,
Corinne E.
Bell of
Greenwich;
their
paternal
grandfather,
Andrew A.
Bell of
Cambridge;
19 aunts and
uncles; and
numerous
cousins.
Alan leaves
behind a
special
friend,
Alyssa Long.
