Attending grandchildren's school and

Favorite Teacher(s): |
Mrs J. Shiland, she had to be wearing
rose colored glasses when she looked at me because I didn't see the same thing
she did. She would understand the last item in my activities above. Coach
Fuller for not leading the charge to have me removed from school. He had the
patience of a saint. |
Memories: |
Playing baseball on the other side of the
road in Rice's flower field while the other eight guys played on the
baseball field. Trying to figure out why my brother Gus called all those
numbers in the huddle at football games. Gus claims I am the only player
ever to get a 15 yard penalty for roughing the tackler. The only night game
we ever played was in Hoosic Falls and I was elected to punt the ball. It
went above the lights in to the dark sky and we could not find it until we
heard the thump, thump, thump in back of me. Who can forget playing
basketball in the old gym and brother Bob running up the right hand wall and
down the wall under the basket. he never did get any credit for the Spider
Man character.
