the Battenkill pro men’s Invitational following a 112-mile breakaway
— about half of it solo — the rider from Sebastopol, California,
said the victory was a long time coming.

CAMBRIDGE - Scott Nydam joked
while being interviewed that the only part of him that could move
easily was his mouth.
That's not the way anyone else saw it. Nydam, of BMC Racing, broke
into a lead group with Team OUCH's Bobby Lea just 34 minutes into
the 124-mile Tour of the Battenkill pro invitational Sunday. He
eventually broke loose from Lea, and the rest of the field never
came near him, as the 31-year old California resident won the race
in 5 hours, 16 minutes, 32 seconds.
