Richard Eugene Stinner
August 7, 1952 - January 11, 2009

Rich Stinner, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Churchville, Pa. after a 5 year battle with cancer.   Following Rich's wishes, he will be cremated and his remains buried in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

There will be no formal obituary so this is written from information gained from his family and his personal page for this web site.

Rich graduated from Cambridge Central School in 1970.  He wrote on his personal page  that his memories of CCS included:
          Winning the Football Championship - Senior Year
          Selection - Jerome E.Wright Award at graduation
          Partying with Bridget Pender, Mary O'Connor and Rick Preece

A graduate of USMA West Point in 1977, Rich also had a MBA from Boston University in 1985.  His List of Past Residences was long.

Rich is survived by wife Jean H. Stinner of 31 years , daughter, Katie Stinner Speegle and husband Brian of McLean, VA, son, Dr. Daniel Stinner and wife Kelly of San Antonio, TX, his mother , Betty-Jean Stinner of Kingston, NY and 7 brothers and sisters:

brother, Kenneth Stinner and wife Betsy of Castleton, NY
sister, Dorothy Stinner Carpenter of Kingston, NY
brother, Robert Stinner and wife Susan of Ft Worth, TX
sister, Phyllis Stinner Thorpe of Haines Falls, NY
brother, John Stinner and wife Carol of Waddell, AZ
sister, Linda Stinner Benicase and husband Stephen of Kingston

Rich also leaves 17 nieces and nephews and 17 grand nieces and nephews.

Rich was predeceased by his father, Bernard Stinner, former science teacher at CCS.
