recovered
from a
debilitating
stroke
suffered
June 16,
2005.
Vi
was born
December 1,
1922, in
Stafford
Springs, CT,
daughter of
Anna M.
Bates and
Joseph W.
Stephens.
She
graduated
from high
school in
1941, in
Cambridge,
NY. She was
predeceased
by her 2
brothers,
Jack and
Paul Ross,
and her 2nd
husband,
Arthur J.
DiMaggio.
She is
survived by
her sister,
Elizabeth
and husband
Jim Dolezal
of
Annapolis,
MD, and her
2 sons
Robert K.
Floyd and
wife Eleni
of Richmond,
VT, and
Richard M.
Floyd of
Rome, NY and
their
children.
Richard's
daughters:
Vanessa of
Chapel Hill,
NC and Marie
and husband
Chris Boucek,
of
Princeton,
NJ and their
daughter,
Sophie.
Robert's
sons, all of
Richmond,
VT: Robert
and his wife
Agnieszka
and their
son Ivo,
Philippe
Floyd, and
James Floyd
and his wife
Agata and
their son
Alexander.
Vi had fond
memories of
the many
friends she
met during
WW2, and
later here
in New
London. She
had a love
of flowers
and birds
and simple
things in
life.
