BUSKIRK, N.Y. Carol (Scaglione) Walter, 59, died peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. She resided on King Road with her husband, Martin Walter.

Carol was born on July 24, 1950 in Cam-bridge, N.Y., daughter of Inez (Lockrow) Scaglione of Buskirk and the late Frank J. Scaglione. She graduated from Cambridge Central School and received a B.A. degree from Daemon College in Buffalo, N.Y.

Carol worked at the Cambridge Central School as a teacher's assistant. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge. Carol enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and loved family gatherings for the holidays. Carol had a very upbeat personality, and despite her disabilities always had a ready smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

 Survivors other than her husband, Martin and mother, Inez include two brothers, Joe Scaglione of Cohoes, N.Y., Jim Scaglione (Geoff Morse) of East Greenbush, N.Y. and brother in-law, Noel Walter (Kathleen) of S.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a

Mass of Christian Burial to be offered on Friday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church on S. Park Street in Cambridge. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cambridge. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the US through the funeral home.
