88, died
peacefully
at the
Hoosick
Falls
Health
Center
where
she had
lived
for
several
months.
She was
the
widow of
Lyndus
G. “Peg”
Saunders
who died
in 1989.
Born
February
23,
1922, in
Dresden,
NY, she
was the
daughter
of
Martin
L. and
Charlotte
(Bentley)
Christopher.
Charlotte
grew up
in
Cambridge
and
graduated
from
Cambridge
Union
School,
class of
1940 .
On July
20,
1940,
Charlotte
and Peg
were
married.
They
raised
their
family
in
Cambridge.
When the
youngest
child
started
school,
Charlotte
became a
hairdresser
and had
a beauty
shop in
her home
for many
years.
Peg and
Charlotte
loved to
square
dance.
She
liked to
knit and
was a
member
of a
knitting
club and
a local
prayer
group,
in her
younger
years.
Later in
life,
she
liked
doing
puzzles
and
playing
board
games
with her
grandchildren.
She
loved
dolls.
Lunching
with the
girls
and “tag
saleing”
were
among
her
favorite
social
activities.
Charlotte
was a
communicant
of St.
Patrick’s
Church.
Charlotte
is
predeceased
by a
son,
Wayne G.
Saunders
who died
in 2005,
and a
sister
Evelyn
Christopher.
Survivors
include
four
children,
Sharon
S. Sloan
and
husband
Gene of
Salem,
CT,
Keith P.
Saunders
and wife
Linda of
Greenwich,
Holly S.
Boice,
and Chad
A.
Saunders
and wife
Michele
of
Cambridge;
a sister
Agnes C.
Morris
of
Albany;
nine
grandchildren;
seven
great-grandchildren
and two
nephews.
A
private
service
followed
by
burial
at St.
Patrick’s
Cemetery,
Cambridge
was held
on
Saturday,
November
6, 2010.
The
family
would

their
