Rubino, 70,
of Troy,
died June
16, 2006
peacefully
surrounded
by his
family at
home. Born
in
Cambridge,
N.Y., he was
the son of
the late
James and
Winifred (Fantozzi)
Rubino. He
was educated
in the
Cambridge
Central
School
District and
later
graduated
from S.U.N.Y.
Delhi, where
he was a
member of
the Kappa
Sigma
Epsilon
Fraternity.
He received
a degree in
hotel and
restaurant
management.
Mr.
Rubino
served in
the U.S.
Army from
1956 to
1958,
serving in
Germany,
where he
earned a
good conduct
medal and an
expert
service
rifle medal.
During that
time, he
traveled
throughout
Europe. He
was employed
by the Green
Mountain
Race Track
for 22 years
and later
established
a successful
career in
real estate
in the
Capital
District.
He
loved the
ocean, Cape
Cod, his
boat,
gourmet
cooking,
jazz music
and spending
time with
his
grandchildren,
especially
at their
baseball and
football
games.

survived by

Mary (Lasson)
Rubino of
Cambridge;
seven
children,
Dinah Young
(Paul) of
Wynantskill,
Laurie
Pawlik
(Matthew) of
Thomaston,
Conn., James
A. Rubino
(Patricia

Wynantskill,
Michelle
Craft
(Anthony) of
Cambridge,
Jacquelyn
Yetto
(Joseph) of
Brunswick,
John W.
Rubino of
Poestenkill
and Toni W.
Rubino of
Troy; eight
grandchildren,
James J.
Rubino,
Brittany,
Ashley and
Courtney
Craft,
Timothy and
Jacob Yetto,
Olivia
Pawlik and
Donna Young;
one brother,
Anthony J.
Rubino and
his wife
Patricia of
Cambridge;
one sister,
Connie Carle
and her
husband
Thomas of
Cambridge;
and several
nieces and
nephews.
The
funeral will
be on
Tuesday at
8:30 a.m.
from the
Daniel D.
Purcell
Funeral
Home, 510
Pawling
Avenue at
Parkview
Court, Troy
and at 10:00
a.m. at St.
Patrick's
Church, 17
South Park
St., (Rte.
22),
Cambridge,
N.Y. where
the Mass of
Christian
Burial will
be
celebrated.
Interment
will be in
St.
Patrick's
Cemetery,
Cambridge.
Relatives
and friends
are invited
and may call
at the
funeral home
Monday from
4:00 until
8:00 p.m.
