For 33 years Jane was a nurse at Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge. She retired in 1995.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cambridge Valley Chapter # 570.

Jane loved to read, especially the Bible. During recent years she swam at the Bennington Rec. Center. She loved the ocean and going to Wells Beach, ME as well as trips to Foxwood. She played cards often with her grandson and had old friends over for “card night”. A lifelong baseball fan, Jane reveled in the recent World Series victory of her beloved Yankees.

Her older brother, E. Theodore Williams, Jr., aka Bud, died in 2000.

Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Vivian Rieben and husband Chris of Cambridge and Chantal Portwine of Cohoes: two sisters, Ann ( McLenithan) Mantz and husband Bill of North Granville and Mary Purdy and husband Ray of Queensbury; a sister-in-law, Carol M. Williams of Shushan and a grandson Charles Hodge of Cambridge.

Jane had many nieces and nephews that she and LeRoy loved dearly. The family was very close and always there to support one another.
