of

died
peacefully
at
home
on
Wednesday,
October
12,
2005,
after
a
long
illness.
Born
in
Cambridge,
N.Y.
on
February
16,
1940,
she
was
the
daughter
of
the
late
James
and
Ruth
Thurber
Peters.
A
Watervliet
resident
for
the
past
four
years,
she
previously
lived
in
Lansingburgh
for
many
years.
Raised
in
Cambridge,
she
graduated
from
Cambridge
Central
High
School.
Lois
worked
as a
sales
clerk
for
Littman
Jewelers
in
Colonie
until
2004
when
the
store
closed.
She
previously
worked
in
sales
at
the
management
level
for
several
other
retailers
over
the
years,
including
Carl
Co.
in
Troy,
Cohoes
Manufacturing,
Macy's
at
Crossgates
and
David's
Bridal
in
Albany.
She
was
a
member
of
Trinity
Episcopal
Church
in
Lansingburgh
and
the
Women
of
Trinity.
She
was
an
active
volunteer
for
all
of
the
church's
events
and
activities.
Survivors
include
a
son,
George
F.
Taylor
III
and
his
fiancee
Marguerite
Kennedy
of
Cohoes;
a
daughter,
Susan
Taylor
and
her
husband
Glenn
Lewman
of
Barrington,
R.I.;
three
grandchildren,
Geoffrey
and
Sarah
Beresford
of
R.I.
and
George
Patrick
Taylor
of
Cohoes;
a
brother,
Arthur
Peters
of
Cambridge;
a
sister,
Bonnie
Krisanda
of
Lansingburgh;
and
several
nieces
and
nephews.
Lois
was
predeceased
by
her
brothers,
Marshall
and
Lloyd
Peters,
and
her
sister,
Lorraine
Brimmer.
