Brenda M. Meyers, 60, of Jackson, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Saratoga Hospital.

Brenda was born September 11, 1947 in Cambridge the daughter of Eleanor Sutherland Brown of Shushan and the late Stewart Brown.

She was a graduate of Cambridge High School and was a homemaker. Brenda truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her past time was writing poetry and children's stories. Brenda loved gardening, animals and traveling.


In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband, Glen A. Meyers whom she married May 16, 1987, two daughters, Michelle Marie Scarselletta and her husband Bucket of Hudson Falls and Stacey A. Morrison and her husband Terry of Salem; her four grandchildren, Gregory Scarselletta, Kayla Scarselletta, Trevor Morrison and Hayly Morrison. She is also survived by a sister, Lana Clark of Salem; her mother in law, Carol Meyers of Shushan and a sister in law, Tracey Lucey of Cambridge as well as several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her father, Brenda was also pre-deceased by a brother, Gary Brown; her father-in-law, George E. Meyers, Sr. and her brother-in-law, George E. Meyers, Jr.


Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the McClellan Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm prior to the funeral service.

 Immediately following the service, Brenda's family extends an invitation to family and friends to join them at the home of Stacey and Terry Morrison, 88 Pitts Hill Lane, Salem for food and to continue to share memories of Brenda.


Interment will take place at a later date at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.


Expressions of sympathy in memory of Brenda may be made to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation, 211 Church Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The family wishes to thank the staff of the I.C.U. Unit at Saratoga Hospital for the wonderful care given to Brenda during her stay.
