William "Bill" McMorris

 
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. - William E. McMorris Jr., 62, of Cambridge, Town of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning at Saratoga Hospital.

 Born Oct. 8, 1948, in Cambridge, Bill was the son of the late William E. and Florence (Skellie) McMorris.

Bill graduated from Cambridge High School and worked on the family dairy farm all his working life. Bill was a member of many various farm organizations and he loved his tractors. Bill participated in the tractor pull at the Washington County Fair.

Bill is survived by his children, Matthew J. McMorris and his wife, Briana, of Saratoga Springs and Lianne Alexander and her husband, Nash, of Cambridge; his friend whom he was happily married for 30 years, Nanci Prindle McMorris of Colonie, N.Y. Bill is also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Bassett and her husband, George, of Concord, N.C.; a grandson, Avery William McMorris and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem with the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.

Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Salem.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bill was always helping others when needed and did not expect anything in return. He was a good friend to many and will be missed.
