57, died
Sunday, Dec.
14, 2008, as
the result
of
accidental
carbon
monoxide
poisoning.
A lifelong
resident of
Cambridge,
Bob was born
May 3, 1951,
at Mary
McClellan
Hospital. He
was the son
of Norman M.
and
Gwendoline
(Joint)
Hendrickson
of
Cambridge.
Bob
graduated
from
Cambridge
Central
School,
Class of
1970, and
attended
Hudson
Valley
Community
College and
SUNY Delhi.
Bob was an
excellent
high school
athlete. He
played
basketball,
baseball and
soccer
always
wearing the
No. 10
jersey, a
tradition
that was
passed on to
his late son
Eric, his
son, Kyle
and
daughter,
Kate.
Bob worked
for many
years at
Oak-Mitsui
in Hoosick
Falls. He
recently
discovered a
talent for
cooking
while
working at
the Jackson
Variety
Store. He
became quite
well known
for his
rolls. He
was also
self-employed
asserting
his many
skills
ranging from
plumbing to
plowing. He
was always
ready to
help anyone
who needed
it.
Bob enjoyed
water-skiing,
boating and
camping. He
loved
spending
time with
his two
grandchildren.
A son, Eric
Thomas
Hendrickson,
died in
1999.
Survivors
include his
parents,
Gwen and
Norm; two
children,
Kyle Robert
Hendrickson
of Saratoga
Springs and
Kaitlin
Elizabeth
Hendrickson
of West Sand
Lake; two
sisters,
Merrilyne
Hendrickson
of
Annapolis,
Maryland and
Norma
Howland of
Gaithersburg,
Maryland; a
niece, Jill
Summer
O'Neill;
three
great-nephews;
two beloved
grandchildren,
Eric Thomas
Hendrickson
II and Emily
Jade Wilson;
and his
faithful
companion,
T.J., a
beautiful
Brittany
Spaniel.
Friends and
relatives
are invited

Thursday,
Dec. 18,
2008, at the
Ackley &
Ross Funeral
Home, 73
West Main
St.,
Cambridge
from 4 to 7
p.m.
Bob's ashes
will be
buried at
Woodlands
Cemetery
with his
son, Eric,
in a private
service.
There will
be a
memorial
gathering on
Friday, Dec.
19, 2008, at
Noon at Gwen
and Norm's
home, 22
Avenue A.
