George Joseph Brimmer
 (Nickname: June)

In Memory of My Brother
by
Winifred (Winnie) Brimmer Davis, Class of l959

June was born on 2/8/44 and was killed at the South Glens Falls Dragstrip on 6/8/69. At the time he was married to June Marion Johnson (Class of l96l), and had recently been discharged from the U.S. Army, having been drafted two years previously. He attained the position of Drill Sergeant and was highly respected by his men. Upon his discharge, his men had a one of a kind rifle made especially for him, which, of course, remains with our family.

When he returned home from the service, he wanted to become a racecar driver (having become a part of the goings on at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.) If June had lived, who knows, hemight have been part of the NASCAR circuit which is so popular today.

June was taken from us at such a young age.  No one can replace the void that was made in our lives.   We still miss him, love him  and always will.
