94,
died
Wednesday,
Oct.
3,
2007,
after
a
long
and
fulfilling
life.
He
was
the
widower
of
Dorothy
Reynolds
Bell,
who
died
in
1997.
Born
July
15,
1913,
on
the
family
homestead
in
the
town
of
Jackson,
he
was
the
son
of
Andrew
and
Nellie
Dunbar
Bell.
After
graduating
from
Cambridge
Union
School,
Class
of
1931,
Andy
served
in
the
United
States
Army
Air
Corps
as a
flight
engineer
during
World
War
II.
Andy
retired
from
General
Electric,
where
he
worked
as a
treat
manager
at
the
G.E.
Capacitor
Unit
in
Hudson
Falls.
He
also
worked
as a
carpenter,
was
the
co-owner
of
Bell's
Village
Store
and
helped
with
maintenance
at
Ed
Levin's
Jewelry.
Always
on
the
go,
never
idle,
Andy
valued
hard
work
and
enjoyed
life.
He
enjoyed
traveling;
loved
going
to
auctions
and
finding
antiques
in
obscure
places;
collecting
Indian
artifacts
and
coins;
reading
and
lawn
mowing
and
was
a
wonderful
storyteller.
The
family
hunting
camp,
"Inman,"
in
the
Adirondacks
was
a
special
place
to
be
with
his
brothers,
friends
and
sons.
He
was
a
very
strong
and
independent-minded
person
and
he
enjoyed
meeting
and
talking
with
everyone.
He
was
predeceased
by
his
wife;
his
siblings,
Jim,
Alex,
Rebecca
and
Henry;
a
brother-in-law,
Clarence
Rea
and
two
grandsons,
Alan
B.
Bell
II
and
Nathan
Bell.
He
is
survived
by
nine
children:
