Anita Cervi Raymond
by  Tom Raymond, May 2010

Anita Cervi Raymond lived in Cambridge for only a few short years but she visited often and had many friends in the Village. Her husband and all four of her boys were Cambridge Union / Cambridge Central students at one time or another, and despite distant travels as Army brats, for higher education and their own military service, they always considered this their very own hometown, constantly beckoning their return. Anita’s husband, Charles W. Raymond II, was a 1926 graduate of Cambridge Union. Son Charles III was born at Mary McClellan (1937), and when Dad was off fighting in WWII, Anita lived in Cambridge for three years (1942-5), while young Charles and Bobby attended the Union School. Three sons eventually graduated CCS, Bob (‘58), Tom (’64) and Jon (’69). The full story, with quite a bit of Cambridge and American history, is in this PDF File  (Click HERE). –
