William "Bill" Dame

William Dame Sr. of San Antonio, TX, left this life on September 8th to be reunited with Ana his wife of 57 years.

 Born 1933 in Hoosick Falls, NY raised by his grandparents In Cambridge, NY, he learned strong values of family, honor, hard work, and being on time. At age 14, his first job to help support the family was setting up bowling pins at the neighborhood bowling alley. At the age of 19 he enlisted in the United States Air Force mastering cutting edge technology as a Chief Weather Observer. Stationed in Tacoma, WA, he met Ana, Airman Second Class Air Force on a blind date and married three months later. While starting a family, he served in the Korean War and 2 tours in Vietnam. A 20 year career reaching Master Sgt. his last duty while stationed in Andrews Air Force Base, MD was providing weather forecasts for Air Force One during the Nixon administration. Retiring Air Force he worked in the private sector until both he and Ana retired to spend time with family and weekends at their ranch in the Texas hill country.

Family survives including 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren
