Violet E. Wulff Clous

  Violet E. Wulff Clous, 72, a lifelong resident of Cambridge, passed Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri after a brief illness.  She and her husband, Hokie L. Clous, (Holden), were returning home from a trip across the states visiting friends and family when Violet became ill.
 

Born Sunday, May 10, 1942 at Mary McClellan Hospital, she was the daughter of Henry R. and Elizabeth Paddock Wulff.  She was a graduate of Cambridge Central School, class of 1961, and Adirondack Community College, class of 1964. For many years she was a self-employed bookkeeper.
 

Violet and Hokie were married on August 17, 1963

.
 

Violet was very active in the Cambridge community.  She was the director of the Girl Scouts in Cambridge for over 20 years and a Girl Scout leader from 1976 to 1989.  She was an election officer for the Town of Jackson for 20 years and served on the Jackson Planning Board for many years.

She was a devoted member of the Open Bible Baptist Church in Cambridge.
 

Violet is predeceased by a sister, Sara Jane Wasilewski and a brother, T. Richard Wulff.
 

Along with her husband of 50 years, she is survived by three children, Mikel C. Clous (Lottie Taffi) of Cambridge, Lucy M. Del Plato (Tony) of Weston, Texas and Shelly L. Clous (Rick Becker) of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Katrina, Jenna and Nicole; three siblings, Vera Noxon (Richard) of Rome, NY, William Wulff of Waterford, NY and Carl Wulff (Jo-Anne LaBarron)of Gansevoort, NY; a brother-in-law, Frank Wasilewski and many nieces, nephews and their families.

 


Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 4 PM
to 7 PM at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main Street, Cambridge.


 

Pastor Nick Frauenhoffer of the Open Bible Baptist will conduct the funeral
service on Saturday, May 31, 2014 starting at 10 AM located at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home.

Friends and family will gather at the Cambridge American Legion Hall following the service.
