Joan Sawtell Snow

BENNINGTON Mrs. Joan Snow, 75, wife of Frank W. Snow Jr., a resident of Bradley Drive, Bennington, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Albany, NY Medical Center following a long illness. Born in South Cambridge, NY October 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Etta (Crandall) Sawtell. Joan received her education in the Cambridge schools and was a 1956 graduate of Cambridge Central School. Joan and Frank were married in Cambridge on September 11, 1964. In earlier years Joan was employed as a bookkeeper at Mammoth Mart department store in Bennington and later in the sales department at Bennington Potters. Joan was a member of the Women of the Moose, VFW Post 1332 Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and Unit 13 American Legion Auxiliary, all of Bennington.

 Survivors include her husband, Frank W. Snow Jr of Bennington; a daughter, Debbie McLean of Wyoming; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Priscilla Setzer of Shaftsbury; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, James Sawtell of Oklahoma and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joan was predeceased by a son, Frank W. Snow III and by two brothers and four sisters.

 FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services celebrating Joan's life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
