Road passed
away on
March 27,
2018,
surrounded
by his
family at
Brigham and
Women's
Hospital in
Boston,
Mass., after
a short
brave battle
with
Idiopathic
Pulmonary
Fibrosis. He
was 64.
Born on July
24, 1953, in
Cambridge,
N.Y. he was
the son of
the late
George R.
and Bernice
(Moore)
McGeoch. He
was the
husband of
Betsy J. (Leamy)
McGeoch whom
he married
on April 10,
1976.
Peter worked
as an
architectural
designer and
was employed
most
recently by
Mosaic
Associates
in Troy. He
was devoted
to his
family and
his family
was
passionate
about
synchronized
swimming. In
order to
spend more
time with
his
daughters
and wife, he
began
volunteering
to score
synchronized
swimming
meets. This
became his
own passion,
and he went
on to serve
the sport
for over 25
years. He
was
appointed
the National
Meet
management
chair for
U.S.
Synchronized
Swimming and
worked
tirelessly
to help and
educate
other
volunteers
on best
practices
for managing
synchronized
swimming
meets.
In
addition to
his wife of
41 years,
Betsy J.
McGeoch; he
is survived
by his
daughters,
Carol
(David) Hall
of
Pittsburgh,
Pa. and Amy
McGeoch
(Eric Malm)
of
Schaghticoke;
beloved
granddaughters,
Charlotte
and Megan
Hall; as
well as many
other
nieces,
nephews,
cousins,
great-nephews
and a
great-niece.
He is also
survived by
several
brothers and
sisters-in-law,
including
Cyndy
McGeoch of
Burlington,
Vt. He was
predeceased
by his
brother,
Bruce
McGeoch.
Relatives
and friends

p.m. on
Monday,
April 2, at
the Chase-Smith Family
Funeral
Homes, 173
Main St.,
Schaghticoke.
Burial will
be at the
convenience
of his
family in
the family
plot in
Elmwood
Cemetery,
Cambridge.
