of Eagle
Bridge,
passed away
peacefully
Tuesday
afternoon,
May 31, 2016
at her
residence
with her
family by
her side.
Peggy was
born in
Coatesville,
PA on
November 16,
1936 the
daughter of
the late Gus
and Edie (Dripps)
Dering.
Peggy was a
1955
graduate of
Cambridge
Central
School and
received her
BS degree in
Physical
Education at
SUNY
Cortland in
1959. She
taught
Physical
Education at
Berlin
Central
School and
then was a
substitute
Physical
Education
Teacher at
Cambridge
Central
School for
several
years.
Peggy was
also a
supportive
farmwife
whose
husband and
family
operate
Andland
Farms at
their home
in Eagle
Bridge.
Peggy loved
to cook and
bake. Most
importantly,
her family
was very
important to
her. She
enjoyed
being with
her family
as they made
her happy
and put a
smile on her
face.
Peggy was a
longtime
member of
the Center
White Creek
Baptist
Church and
was also
involved in
Home Dem
organization.
In addition
to her
parents,
Peggy was
also
predeceased
by her
brother and
his wife,
August &
Chris
Dering, Jr.
and a great
granddaughter,
Sadie Grace
Andrew.
Peggy is
survived by
her husband
of 56 years,
Howard J.
Andrew, Sr;
her
children,
Howard J.
(Terry)
Andrew, Jr.
of Eagle
Bridge, Amy
(Peter)
Braun of
Cambridge,
George Mark
(Colleen)
Andrew of
Newark, NY,
Lory
(Timothy)
Tudor of
White Creek,
Audrey
(Dean)
Brownell of
North
Hoosick and
Edith
(Robert)
Phillips of
Greenwich.
Peggy is
also
survived by
her
brothers,
Elmer (the
late Gina)
Dering of
Delmar, NY,
Robert
(Betty)
Dering of
Cambridge
and George
(Carol)
Dering of
Greenwich.
Additional
survivors
include
twenty-one
grandchildren,
ten
great-grandchildren
and many
nieces and
nephews.
Calling
hours will
be Friday,
June 3, 2016
from 5-7 pm
at the
Center White
Creek
Baptist
Church,
28 Center
White
Creek Lane,
Eagle
Bridge, NY.
Peggy’s
funeral will
be held at
10:00 am
Saturday,
June 4, 2016
at the
church with
interment
services to
follow at
Woodlands
Cemetery in
Cambridge.
