Rose Manning Dwyer

 Rose M. Dwyer 95, passed away on Friday January 27 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga, New York. She was the wife of the late Thomas Dwyer who died in 1980.

Rose was born on October 7, 1916, in Elizabeth, New Jersey daughter of the late David and Catherine (Farrell) Manning. The family lived on Spring Street in Cambridge, NY for over forty years and spent summers at their cottage on Hedges Lake. In 1992 Rose moved to Greenwich, NY to be near her grandchildren. A graduate of Cambridge Central School, Rose owned and operated the Cambridge Diner for many years. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge and a life member of the Catholic Daughters of America at the church. Rose was a former member of the Elks Auxiliary in Hoosick Falls, and a member of the Mary McClellan Hospital Auxiliary where she was a volunteer for over thirty years.

Throughout her life, Rose possessed a deep faith that carried her through life's ups and downs. An optimistic, happy person by nature, she truly believed that everything always worked out for the best. She had countless friends who loved her for grace, her charm and her sense of humor, but also for her strength in difficult times.

Survivors include her four sons and their spouses Thomas Dwyer (Linda) of Greenwich, NY, Timothy Dwyer (Kendal) of Shushan, NY, Terrence Dwyer (Joan) of Ballston Spa, NY and Theodore Dwyer (Lisa) of Cambridge, NY, her grandchildren Rachael Dwyer of Saratoga Springs, NY, Sarah Moore (Rob) and Jordon Dwyer all of Greenwich, NY and Carly Dwyer of Cambridge, NY, two grandsons Taylor and Thomas Dwyer of Ballston Spa, NY, also several nieces and nephews.

At Rose's request services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cambridge, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad through the funeral home. She was lovingly cared for by the staff at Wesley Health Care. The family is eternally grateful to family friend Cindy Labish and Cindy Emerson, hospice nurse.
