Lin Durrin Wilwol

Lin I. Wilwol, 60, of Shushan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 18, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident in the Town of Jackson.

Lin was born on July 30, 1954 in Cambridge the daughter of the late Raymond Gordon Durrin, Sr. and Ruth (Faile) Durrin. She was a 1972 graduate of Cambridge High School and received her Associate’s Degree from Adirondack Community College|.
Lin was a teacher’s aide at the Cambridge Central School. She helped with sporting events, chaperoned dances and was the 7th & 8th grade class advisor. She also coached modified volleyball and softball, she loved being active in the school. Lin always wanted to be outside, whatever the weather, her hobbies included birdwatching and building bird houses, as well as gardening, walking, running and bike riding. Lin greatly enjoyed kayaking when she spent time at Hedges Lake. She was a member of the Captain Maxson Unit #634 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and also the DAR
.
Lin’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren who were the "sunshine" in her world.

Lin is survived by her four children: Darci Webster and her husband William of Cambridge, Kami Wilwol of Arlington, VA, Teri Murdie and her husband Craig of Davenport, NY and Nikki VanderVeen and her husband Benjamin of Schoharie, NY. Lin also leaves behind her seven cherished grandchildren: Bailey, Drake and Kade Webster, Tyler Wilwol, Harlie, Lilie and Brodie Murdie. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Lou & Bob Worboys, Billy & Penny Durrin, Mike & Debbie Durrin, Stacy & Bob Niles, Bud & Susie Durrin, Ruthie & Glenn Jackson, Matt & Anna Durrin and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Embury United Methodist Church, 41 East Main St., Cambridge with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
There will be no public calling hours.
Interment will take place in the spring at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
Lin’s family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Lin in a special way can make memorial contributions in her memory to the Cambridge Central School, 24 South Park St., Cambridge, NY 12816 for the 6th, 7th & 8th grade classes which Lin was the class advisor for.
