Kathleen
Marie
Kennedy Parr
Kathleen Marie Kennedy Parr, 78, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025. Born on March 3, 1947, in Cambridge, New York to Timothy Joseph Kennedy Sr and Helen Washburn Kennedy, Kathleen lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering faith.
She is survived by her sons: Rick Naegele and his wife Juli, Michael Parr, and Matthew Parr and his wife Eryn; her beloved grandchildren: Mason Parr, Justin Thomas, and Katrina Thomas; and many dear friends and extended family members who were touched by her kindness and warmth. She was preceded in death by her brother Timothy Joseph Kennedy, and her sister, Pat Kennedy Hayden and her Aunt Peg Hopkins. She had a twin brother Daniel Kennedy that died at birth.
Throughout her life, Kathleen held many roles with pride — as a skilled cake decorator, a small business owner who operated her own general store, a dedicated factory worker, and a retail associate who cherished meeting new people. But of all her accomplishments, none brought her more joy than being a devoted mother and grandmother. Her greatest pride and deepest love centered around her family, especially her grandson Mason, who was the light of her life and her daily inspiration.
Kathleen’s Catholic faith was the foundation of her strength. She firmly believed in the presence of God in all things and lived each day guided by that belief. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — watching her favorite TV shows, especially Hallmark Christmas movies, and gathering with family for meals and cookouts filled with laughter, love, and fellowship.
Though there will be no public service in accordance with her wishes; her family will honor her life with a private celebration. Kathleen will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her courage, strength, faith, and the boundless love she gave so freely.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her — a reminder to live with compassion, faith, and gratitude, just as she did every day.
