CAMBRIDGE -- Valerie Jeskie, 55, of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at her residence.

Born Oct. 29, 1958, in Cambridge, she is the daughter of the late Henry B. Jeskie Sr. and Alyce Lockrow Jeskie.

Valerie graduated from Cambridge Central School and was a stay-at-home mom when her three children were younger. Spending time with her children was an enjoyment for Valerie, as well as playing board games with them. Later in life, Valerie became a private nurse’s aide to two elderly women, Marjorie and Lorraine in Glens Falls, for several years until their passing.

Valerie was raised Catholic and attended St. Patrick’s Church in Cambridge.

Valerie is survived by her three children, Joshua Duddy and Benjamin Duddy, both of Cambridge and Danielle Duddy of Greenwich. She is also survived by her brothers and sister, Henry J. Jeskie, Jacqueline Whitman and David G. Jeskie, all of Cambridge; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Valerie was also predeceased by a sister, Patricia Alice Bell; and aunts and uncles, Edna, Inez, Raymond and Herman.

A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at St. Patrick’s Church, 17 S. Park St., Cambridge.

Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
