Jeffrey Potter

Jeffrey Scott Potter Virginia Beach – Jeffrey Scott Potter, 54, died December 2, 2015.

Jeffrey was born in Glens Falls, NY to Dorothy Joan Potter and the late Courtney Charles Potter. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy on the USS Conolly / DD979 and at FACSFAC VACAPES NAS Oceana.

 Jeffrey was a family man who truly enjoyed spending time with his wife and sons, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting, woodworking and fishing. He was a member of the Virginia Patriot Guard and had coached both youth and semi-pro football. Jeffrey was a strong patriot for his country and always believed in paying it forward.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Milisa L. Potter; children, Jeffrey S. Potter, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Patrick L. Potter (Sarah) stationed at Ft. Drum, NY; mother, Joan Potter of NY; siblings, Tim Potter (Denise) of NC, Nancy Hersey (Kenny) of NY, Jim Potter (Jennifer) of IN and Wendy Squires (Doug) of NY; grandchildren, Rylee Grace and Avery Mae Potter; and pets, Foxie, Buster and Rufus.

A life celebration service will be held on Friday at 3:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel with Rev. Charles Chappell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA, c/o TMCFunding.com. The family would like to thank Bon Secours Hospice for their loving care.
