Jean Mills Morris Quelette

 

Jean Mills Quelette, 88 of Columbus, passed away on Friday, October 14,2016.

 
She was born August 9, 1928 in Marietta, Ohio to the late John W. Morris and Eva Noyes. She grew up in Marietta, Ohio until 9th grade and always had ties to that community. Her family moved to Cambridge, NY where she graduated valedictorian of her high school class of 1946.

She worked for many years with Si Lakin, a famous Columbus auctioneer. Jean is preceded in death by husband, William August Quelette, Sr. and son, Dr. William August Quelette, Jr.

She is survived by son, Brian (Patty) Quelette; daughter-in-law, Karen Quelette; grandchildren, Steve (Emily) Quelette, Julie (Brian) McNamara, Darren (Kelly) Quelette, Leah (Tim) Schmidt, Paul Quelette and Lauren Quelette; Ten grandchildren.

Jean was a longtime member of Linworth United Methodist Church where she participated in the choir and headed the Linworthy seniors group at one time. She was a patient wife, mother and grandma and will be missed by all who knew her but she is reunited with her husband, Bill, and beloved son, Dr. William August Quelette, Jr.

I wanted to also thank Willow Brook Christian Home for their many years of support in service to my mother. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington where friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Dr. Eugene Folden, officiating. Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
