James S. Watkins, 61, of Cambridge, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence.

Jim was born in Cambridge on May 29, 1955 the son of the late William Stanley Watkins and Stella Frances Sweet Watkins.

Jim graduated from Cambridge Central School. At a young age, Jim became disabled which prevented him the opportunity to work. He had taught himself how to play music which he loved. Jim enjoyed working outdoors with his lawnmowers and tractors. He looked forward to having coffee with his close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Watkins.

He is survived by a son, James S. (Jaime Dennis) Watkins, Jr. of Hebron; three brothers, Ronald (Kelly) Watkins of Cambridge, Edward (Tamatha Green) Watkins of White Creek and Patrick (Lucinda Harwood) Watkins of Hebron. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Jaimi Lee Watkins many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5-9 pm at 12 Washington St., Cambridge. Those who wish may bring a dish to share.

Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
