Milton
James “Jim”
Eddy, 68, of
Orange City,
Florida,
passed away
April 27,
2015, at The
University
of Florida
Health,
Gainsville,
Florida.
Jim was born
April 23,
1947, in
Bennington,
Vermont, to
Alretta Mae
Barber and
Ernest G.
Eddy, both
now
deceased.
He grew up
in the
Cambridge,
New York,
area and
graduated
from
Cambridge
Central
School in
1965. He was
anticipating
coming back
to Cambridge
for his 50th
class
reunion.
He joined
the military
and served
during the
Vietnam era
in a medical
unit as an
X-ray
technician.
Later, he
became a
member of
American
Legion Post
No. 634
Cambridge,
and a
veteran of
the U.S.
Army of the
Vermont
National
Guard for 21
years.
He moved to
Florida in
the ’80s to
be near his
parents and
remained
there until
his death.
While living
there, he
worked in
the X-ray
department
of an area
hospital.
Jim was a
kind person
with many
friends. He
loved to
bake and
would often
surprise his
neighbors
with some of
his homemade
specialties.
Jim is
survived by
three
brothers and
their
spouses:
Gerald
(Kathy) of
Winooski,
Vermont,
Nelson
(Sally) of
Cambridge
and Richard
(Sandy) of
Little
River, South
Carolina. He
is also
survived by
several
nieces,
nephews,
aunts and
uncles.
Graveside
services
will be held
in Woodlands
Cemetery,
Cambridge,
New York, at
a later date
to be
determined
in June.
