Born December 16, 1963 in Troy New York, Jon was the oldest son of the late Henry and Janet Giles of South Cambridge NY.

Jon was a graduate of Cambridge Central School, Class of 1983.  He worked for many years on local farms and enjoyed being outside. He was passionate about his lawn tractors and could most often be found at the family farm in South Cambridge, tinkering on his machines. Jon was a hardworking man with a big heart and a generous soul. He was quick with a smile and to lend a hand. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife, Angela (DeBenedetto) Giles of Greenwich, NY; three brothers, Thor Giles of Iwakuni, Japan, Jason Giles of Thiells, NY and Jody Giles of Clifton Park, NY; one sister, Kerry Giles of Montclair, NJ; 2 nieces, and 3 nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his 2 best friends, William and Bryan Herrington, who were like brothers to him.Friends may call on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 5-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc.
