| CLIFTON PARK Elinor Pedersen LaPoint, died on March 19, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Elinor was born July 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, and was the daughter of the late Emma and Ludwig Pedersen. In 1945, the family moved from Brooklyn to a dairy farm in Cambridge. Elinor graduated from Cambridge Central School, where she met and married Rupert LaPoint, and they settled in Daytona Beach, Fla.
In 1977, Elinor moved back to New York, and worked for 38 years in the accounting department for the New York State Department of Social Services.
Elinor is survived by her children, Wendy R. LaPoint of Clifton Park, Ronny D. LaPoint of Albany, and Larry G. (Pauline) LaPoint of Averill Park. She is also survived by two granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Pedersen, and is the former wife of Brian Monroe.
