67,
died
unexpectedly
on
Saturday,
January
15,
2011
at
his
residence
in
Cambridge.
Born
October
22,
1943
at
Mary
McClellan
Hospital,
Harold
was
the
only
child
of
Mary
Ansaldi
Dewey,
who
resides
at
the
Cambridge
Guest
Home,
and
the
late
Harold
Wesley
Dewey.
After
graduating
from
Cambridge
Central
School,
class
of
1961,
Harold
earned
a
Bachelor’s
Degree
in
Sociology
at
Long
Island
University,
CW
Post
branch.
He
worked
for
the
State
of
New
York
starting
in
St.
Lawrence
County.
He
worked
with
the
Division
of
Youth
in
the
parole
division
and
as a
day
care
licensing
inspector.
He
retired
in
1997.
Harold
enjoyed
working
with
electronics,
especially
radio
control
planes.
For
the
past
few
years
he
has
divided
his
time
between
the
care
giving
of
his
mother
in
Cambridge
and
living
in
Hudson
Falls.
Survivors
include
two
sons,
SGT.
Casey
Dewey
and
fiancé
Shawna
of
Fort
Drum,
Watertown,
NY
and
Scott
Dewey
and
wife
Nancy
of
East
Amherst,
NY;
five
grandchildren,
Jesse,
Jared,
Bryanna,
Katelin
and
Kearra;
a
great-grandson,
Troy
Dewey;
a
dear
friend,
Lynn
Schnabel
of
Hudson
Falls
and
her
daughters,
Rachel
and
Sarah,
who
knew
him
as
Uncle
Hal
and
his
special
canine
friend,
LuLu.
Friends
and
relatives
are
invited
to
attend
a
graveside
service
officiated
by
Father
Martin
Fisher,
on
Friday,
January
21,
2011
at
11
AM
at
St.
Patrick’s
Cemetery,
Center
Cambridge
Road,
Cambridge.

family
