formerly of
Cambridge,
died, May 1,
2012
peacefully
at his home
with his
wife by his
side.
Born Sunday,
April 23,
1933 in
Mechanicville,
NY he was
the son of
the late
Edward and
Violet
(Blowers)
Catellier.
Jack
attended
Cambridge
Central
School but
left before
graduation
to serve in
the United
States Air
Force during
the Korean
War. In 2002
he was
awarded his
diploma.
New York
State made a
law stating
the anyone
who was
drafted
during World
War II or
the Korean
War could
now get
their
diplomas
He worked
for Owlkill
Farms,
Martin
Rogers
Construction
and the
State of New
York
Department
of
Environmental
Services. He
was a member
of Capt.
Maxson Post
# 631,
American
Legion for
55 years. He
helped
establish
the
Cambridge
Little
League and
was a big
supporter of
all
Cambridge
athletics.
In 1987 he
moved to
Staatsburg
where he
resided with
his wife of
23 years,
Joyce Tubby
Catellier.
He was an
avid fan of
the
Washington
Redskins,
the Detroit
Tigers and
Jeff Gordan.
He is
predeceased
by his first
wife, Donna
Strout
Catellier
and
brothers,
Donald,
Robert and
Dale
Catellier.
Along with
his wife, he
is survived
by five
children,
Donald
Catellier
(Mary) of
Vooheesville,
Debra
Catellier of
Cambridge ,
Denice Duell
(Kim) of
Porter
Corners,
Douglas
Catellier
(Julie) of
Clarksville,
TN and Dean
Catellier
(Terri
Putman) of
Cambridge;
two
stepchildren,
Joel (Mary)
Morley of
Newport
Richie, FL
and Jenny
Iacomini
(Angelo) of
Pleasant
Valley, NY;
mother-in-law,
Hope Tubby
of Lake
Katrine, NY;
several
grandchildren,
great-grandchildren,
nieces,
nephews and
his very
special
canine
companion
Cassey.
Friends and
relatives

4 to 7 PM at
Ackley &
Ross Funeral
Home, 73
West Main
Street,
Cambridge.
There will
be an
American
Legion
service at
6:45 PM.
A funeral
service will
be held at
the funeral
home on
Saturday,
May 5, 2012
at 10AM with
burial
following at
Woodlands
Cemetery.
Friends are
