Greenwich-Carol I. Loveland, 70, of Greenwich, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at her residence.

Carol was born September 5, 1947 in Cambridge the daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Barkman) Nygard.

Carol graduated from Cambridge Central School in the Class of 1965 and had owned and operated her own daycare business for over 40 years.

She enjoyed reading and gardening, however, her grandchildren were her pride and joy and loved spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Roger Loveland and her son, Christopher Loveland (CCS Class of 1992) who passed away February 16, 2012.

Carol is survived by her children, Cindy (Ron) Smith of Greenwich and Suellen (Tom LaPoint) Salame of Greenwich; her siblings, Bill (Helen) Nygard of Okmulgee, OK, Bob (Kathy) Nygard of Saratoga, Steve (Carol) Nygard of Huntsville, AL and Walter Nygard of Shushan.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy (Joanna) Messina, Alix (Ciara) Messina, Ryan Smith, Michael Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately by the family.
