Allan Douglas Brown, age 62 passed away
peacefully at his residence at 251 Chaucer Court , Old Bridge NJ on December
25, 2011.
Al was born on May 28, 1949 in Chatham, NY and was the son
of Floyd and Lois Brown of Eagle Bridge NY. He is survived by his long time
companion, Linda Seiler of Old Bridge NJ, brother Bob and sister-in-law Elaine
of Apex, North Carolina, brother Mark of Buskirk, NY and niece Meghan Barney and
her husband Chris of Clayton, North Carolina.
Al graduated from Cambridge Central School in 1967 and
attended the State University of New York at Albany graduating in 1971 with a
BA in Sociology. He earned his Master of Education at North Adams State
College in 1977 and subsequently joined the US Air Force. He completed his
AAS degeree in Telecommunications while in the military and became employed at
AT&T upon his discharge in 1979. Al earned his MS in Computer Science at
Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1990 and worked for over twenty years at AT&T
and related spinoff companies, Lucent Technologies and Avaya Inc., most recently
as a software developer, before retiring in 2001.
