Betty Lincoln Andrews

Shushan - Betty B. Andrews of Shushan, NY passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.


She was born in West Sandgate, VT on October 6, 1934 the daughter of the late Harry Abraham and Sylvia Josephine (Jorgensen) Lincoln.

Betty graduated from Cambridge Central in 1952 and went to work at Mac Molding as a Secretary to the Molding Supervisor, where she met her husband, Louis Andrews.  Later on, she worked at Cambridge Central as a paraprofessional for 20 years.

Betty loved having her grandchildren spend time with her in the summer. She loved to cook, enjoyed working in her garden and later spent many hours with the Northeastern Woodworking Association in many roles.


In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Louis H. Andrews, Jr. who passed away January 22, 2020; a grandson, Joshua Oberbroeckling; a brother, Stanley Lincoln.

 

Betty is survived by her children, Lorraine “Lorri” Oberbroeckling (Rodney) of Shippensburg, PA and John Andrews (Sherry) of Kingwood, TX; a brother, Douglas Lincoln (Janice) of Shushan; grandchildren, Allen Oberbroeckling, Sr. (Abby), Nicholas Oberbroeckling, Lori Troutman, Shelby Barrera (Carl) and Arron Andrews; great grandchildren, Morgan, Ivy, Ariel, Allen, Jr., Abigail & Riley Oberbroeckling, Avery Andrews, Kendall, Reagan, Hayden & Camden Barrera, Avey Oberbroeckling and Ace Oberbroeckling; a sister-in-law, Jean (Brophy) Lincoln and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Betty’s family wishes to thank the Cambridge Assisted Living for the care and compassion given to Betty during her stay.


Calling hours are Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.  A service will begin at 11:30 am with Rev. Carol Finke officiating.

Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
