South Cambridge, NY - Bernard C. Miner, Jr., 57, of South Cambridge, passed away Tuesday morning, December 16, 2025, at Albany Medical Center.
Bernie was born on December 7, 1968, in Troy, New York. He was a graduate of Cambridge Central School, Class of 1988. Bernie worked alongside his brother at the family business, Done Right Auto, in South Cambridge, where he was always willing to lend a hand.
Bernie had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed working on cars and had a lifelong love of music. He was an avid football fan, proudly supporting the New York Giants, and he found great enjoyment in spending time outdoors, especially sitting around bonfires with family and friends. Above all, Bernie cherished his dog, JP, who was a constant and beloved companion.
Family was an important part of Bernie’s life. He is survived by his siblings, Janice (David) Richardson of Stillwater, Kayola Reese of Stillwater, Joe (Tammie) Miner of Port Byron, NY, Helen (Daryl) Ives of Glens Falls, Varney (Patricia) Miner of Johnsonville, Sherry (Tom) Keays of Greenwich, and Christopher (Lindsay) Miner of South Cambridge. He is also survived by his stepbrother and stepsister, Keith (Robin) Bruso of Valley Falls and Angela Oldham of Bennington, Vermont, as well as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
Bernie was predeceased by his father, Bernard C. Miner, Sr., and by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Bruce Baker.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main Street, Cambridge. A time of reflections will begin at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge. |
