CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH DOUG LUKE AND THE CAMBRIDGE INDIANS!!!!

CLASS D
  STATE CHAMPIONS

It was a nail biter of a game.  2OVERTIMES!!!  Maple Grove scored 1st in the 2n overtime…Score 21-14.  But Our Indians didn’t give up….marched down the field and SCORED!!!!    21-20!!!!    Then, with a gutsy but confident call by Coach Luke, they went for the 2 point conversion.  Here is  how the Post Star saw it:   "Maurice Seymore fought his way into the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown to pull the Indians within 21-20, and then on one make-or-break conversion play, Zack Rowland lofted the winning pass to Shawn Lemieux on a play-action fake to give Cambridge the victory and a perfect 13-0 season."

WOW!! What a game!!!

There were lots of us trying to keep up with Facebook posts from Syracuse, or from those watching it on TV.  Tom Hallock Chalen Lathrop, Peggy Brand (Tribesman Booster Club) and others, I am sure, were so gracious to keep posting updates.  I kept up with it from the postings of Randi Sica “broadcasting live from the CCS Bus Garage”.  Randi did an excellent play by play. There were a lot of us on his page cheering Go Indians, DEFENSE, Hold that Line!, Block!!!, Hallelujah!!.  We were gasping, on the edge of our seat, hoping we had taken our blood pressure pills, groaning, cheering and yes, CRYING in joy at the end.  What a ball game!!!!!
