Hi Pauline,I used to ride the school bus with Pat Turi and knew both her brothers so I will look up the website and make a donation but I can't attend the event. I also send best wishes to Frank Smith and I'm sorry to hear of his loss. Best wishes!

Tom and Mary Loren (Tom) Class of "54 ,

We want to thank Penny and Bud Pytco for visiting our dear Friend Alex . Back in 2012 he stopped to see us here in Manassas, Va. I hadn't seen him since 1954 we will send him a few things that he might enjoy.

We have been taking care of our 20 Month old Grandson , Liam on Weekdays since he was born . It has been such a wonderful experience to see him grow and learn

Walter Ogden Class of 63 on the coast of New Brunswick, Can

Anne and I are on a three week tour of New Brunswick with the Rv. Having a great time and the weather is cooperating completely. Friendly people and a wonderful area to visit during the fall months after most of the tourist traffic has subsided a bit. The coastline is so different than what we are accustomed to in New England. Life is good……Anne and Walt

To All from Bill (Butch) Hatch.  It has been busy but great great summer filled with many memorable events which included the CCS reunion as one of the highlights.  Trips included Seattle, Washington, Washington DC(for a week of sight seeing and pleasure), historic Delaware and of course the beaches in Maine & N.H.  We had four of our six children and families, friends from Virginia, and our granddaughter who is a student @ Plymouth State, here for Labor Day week-end.  Lots of work for Violet but loads fun which included hikes, sun time @ beach and lots of catching up with each other.  Next we are going to Portland for our niece Kateri's wedding combined with daughter Lauren and Melanie's visit from Colorado,  While her Lauren and her husband David will run in a marathon to qualify for the Boston Marathon.  On return we repack and fly to Colorado to visit daughters Melanie and Lauren, their spouses and those wonderful triplet grandchildren, now 4 years old, yikes, time flies!!!!!! On return from Colorado we pack and travel to Daytona Beach, Fl. with plans to spend most of the winter there, YEAH!!!  Pauline, thank you so much for your efforts and all you do.  Bill Hatch.

On North Union Street just south of Woodlands Cemetery is Northwoods, which in the 1950s and 1960s was the estate of Robert McClellan. It is now the Common Sense Farm, a Twelve Tribes community (
http://twelvetribes.org/community/common-sense-farm).

Several years ago the Common Sense people bought the old King Bakery across from Hubbard Hall. They remodeled outside and inside, including removing the LeGrys soda fountain (now located in Perry Young '64 barn).

After serving the community for 4 or 5 years as the Common Ground Cafe & Bakery, the building has been closed for 3 or 4 years.

A few years ago, during the Tour of the Battenkill bike race, the Common Sense people ran the Yellow Deli in front of the old bakery. I bumped into Jacob, one of my friends at Common Sense, who told me that yesterday they started cleaning up inside. They plan to re-open the building as a Yellow Deli in a month or so. Read about the history of the Yellow Deli chain at http://yellowdeli.com/our-history-vista

NOTE:  The Eagle newspaper was kind enough to send me the obituaries for  Linda Bracken Andrews, Class of 1965 and William Washburn, Class of 1972, so I was able to put them on the website.  You can find them by going to the Tributes Page, the Red Rose List, or their Class Page.  Please understand that unless I have an obiturary and/or word from a family member, I do not send out notices.  Thank you.

Would  love to hear from more of you!!  PLEASE REMEMBER to put your full name, class year and where you are living now in the body of the email.  I sure would appreciate it.

Hope all of you had a Happy and Safe Labor Day Weekend.

Until next time

Pauline
