May 17,2016

Dear CCS Alumni and Friends, the response from the assignment has slowed down but I hope you are still thinking about attending the reunion.  How about your golfers…..have you registered for the Scramble?

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Reunion Plans or Not.   Just click on Reply. Simply state:  Going or Not Going or Still thinking about it.   Of course you are not limited to MY words....write what you would like to.  Challenge a friend, classmate, family member to reply.  Example.  I am going and I am asking John Doe  Class of 19__  if she or he is going.
PLEASE NOTE:  Sending me an email DOES NOT register you.  You must fill out the registration form and send it to the Alumni Committee in Cambridge

ATTENTION:  MAYBE YOU CAN HELP THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Cambridge Fire Department will be hosting a celebration of our 150th Anniversary on July 16, 2016. Following a day of parade, muster events, and music, the night will end with a fireworks display.

We would love to pay for these fireworks by donations from the area businesses and public.

Part of the history of the fire department was our annual carnival and firework display.

Any donations can be mailed to the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 554, Cambridge, NY 12816. Please write "fireworks" in the memo

Save July 16th on your calendars for a day of celebrating our history

Pauline, hope your CU comes out of surgery OK. Sorry I can’t send flowers. We will be flying into Albany on May 8th from 90 degree Florida. Hope to get oriented in time to golf & make the reunion.  Do not expect to see any of my class mates!

Jo Thornton Class of 1962: Sorry but I cannot make it this year. My 50th college reunion is taking precedence for my allotted trip north this year....Maybe next year, Ann Thiessen! I also miss the "special event"!

Dave Bellemare, Class of '75 - won't be attending this year. This summer we have 3 weddings, 1 shower, 1 65th wedding anniversary at our house. It will be a busy summer.

Marie Merola Copeland Class of 1966
Our daughter, Mary, will graduate from The College of St. Rose on May 14 with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History.  She accepted a job at the NYS Assembly beginning on June 20.  We are taking a European vacation with her in June prior to her starting her new job. We are very proud of her!

I am still deciding about attending the Reunion.  I may just go on Sat. even though this is my 50th!  Peace. Marie
