Cambridge Central School invites current students and ALUMNI to represent Cambridge Central School in the 150th anniversary of Cambridge parade, held on Saturday, July 16, 2016.
Participants are encouraged to show their school spirit, by wearing their orange and black, letter sweaters, jackets, and any other CCS attire. Participants of all ages are welcome and encourage to join the school’s Music Teacher, Mrs. Jill Chadwick, (formerly Jill Hahn, class of 1992) to sing the CCS alma mater on a
CCS Alumni Singers Float.
Interested participants are to meet to rehearse the CCS Alma Mater at 9:00 a.m. on Academy Street. Chairs, songs sheets, and float will be provided, you bring your singing voices. We would love to represent Cambridge Central School throughout the years, so the more the merrier! For more information, please contact Jill (Hahn) Chadwick at 677-7070.
We look forward to seeing you there.

The Class of '66 needs to hear from classmates, teachers and friends if they will be attending our 50th Reunion events 7/15-16. A head count is important. Please contact Susan or Karen ASAP. A Class of '66 float will be appearing in the Sesquicentennial parade and it will have some surprises on board. Let's just say you will hear us coming and going.

YOUR NEW ASSIGNMENT: Summer pictures for the SEASONS: SUMMER section of our website.  Please don’t send your complete summer vacation album but we sure would like to see 1-3 pictures of where you have been…OR…of what summer is like in your area or your yard.  Please help me out with this. I know you are taking pictures with your phone so simply forward 1,2 or 3 of them to 662-808-9978. Thanks

Tom Raymond
In many national dailies from the Albany Times Union to the Arizona Republic, from the San Jose Mercury News to the Florida Times Union (JAX), there's a syndicated feature run once or twice a week in the Sports Section during baseball season: "This Day In Baseball History."  Several days ago, Monday June 21: "On this day (June 21, 1964, a Sunday that year) Jim Bunning of the Philadelphia Phillies pitched a perfect game against the NY Mets."  Of course, that's 27 up, 27 down, as the Loveable Mets were still the Lowly Mets.  (Bunning later became a US Senator from Kentucky.)   Turns out, that day was the graduation afternoon of the Class of 1964. I wonder how many of my classmates remember that event!   Finally, you probably know that when a full moon occurs on the Summer Solstice, the Native Americans knew it was time to pick berries under the Strawberry Moon. I wonder if Strawberry Polly knows that! tom :-)

(Actually this Strawberry Polly DID know that!!!!! Thanks Tom!)
