Dear CCS Alumni and Friends, I am almost packed and ready to go!! Excited about next weekend!  My flight leaves at 6 AM on Tuesday…will be in Cambridge until July 23rd.  Looking forward to seeing family and friends.   The Reunion Weekend is going to be SPECTACULAR.

This will be the last newsletter until after I get back to Mississippi.  I am not taking my computer with me that have my website editing program or my newsletter mass mailing program.  I will have my phone and my Kindle Fire so I can get emails and post some pictures on Facebook.

 

✔Cambridge Central School invites current students and ALUMNI to represent CCS in the 150th anniversary of Cambridge parade. Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Participants are encouraged to show their school spirit, by wearing their orange and black, letter sweaters, jackets, and any other CCS attire. Participants of all ages are welcome and encourage to join the school’s Music Teacher, Mrs. Jill Chadwick, (formerly Jill Hahn, class of 1992) to sing the CCS alma mater on a  CCS Alumni Singers Float.

Interested participants are to meet to rehearse the CCS Alma Mater at 9:00 a.m. on Academy Street. Chairs, songs sheets, and float will be provided; you bring your singing voices. We would love to represent Cambridge Central School throughout the years, so the more the merrier! For more information, please contact Jill (Hahn) Chadwick at 677-7070.

YOUR NEW ASSIGNMENT: Summer pictures for the SEASONS: SUMMER section of our website.  Please don’t send your complete summer vacation album but we sure would like to see 1-3 pictures of where you have been…OR…of what summer is like in your area or your yard.  Please help me out with this. Thanks for the news letter! I finally paid my dues and signed up for everything! Can't wait to see everyone! Great news on June 30 I had a hole in one on the thirteenth hole at the Mount Anthony Country Club!  My first hole in one! What an awesome feeling! I must thank Linda Record for sending in my golf fee to Mike! 

 

Val Clark 1963 and Merry Ames Clark 1966 will not be attending the reunion this year due to medical issues. We hope everyone has a wonderful time

Just returned from the month of June in Bermuda. This was taken on the ferry from town of St. George's to the Dock Yard. And yes Ron did have a good time, but does not like his picture taken.

Thank you for your kind words and including the village anniversary coin information in the newsletter. Maybe, if you have room, you could remind alumni that  the official commemorative coin being sold by the Cambridge Historical Society and Museum will be for sale at the museum and K. Ward Realty on Main St. next to "The Cambridge" (hotel) following the parade. .  It is really beautiful and the only coin sanctioned by the Village of Cambridge Board to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the village.  We feel very privileged to be able to offer this coin and to receive the proceeds courtesy of the Village Board.
