MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL CCS ALUMNI AND FRIENDS!!  I hope you have a very blessed day tomorrow and that the joy and hope of this season will carry through the next year.

We have several of our CCS family who are sick, in the hospital, taking chemo, lonely,  grieving and in other sad situations.   I hope you will remember them in your prayers.

Jane Wright Class of 1957, Cambridge
Merry Christmas and a healthy, Happy New Year to the Class of '57...all 23 of us still on the green side of the grass!

Tom R, Fernandina Beach CCS64

Are you kidding me!? George Ridler remembers the "camel"?!  Who else does?  That "camel" was at Frasier's farm on the old bumpy concrete Rt 22 which ran right through the farm property; before they put the Rt 22 smooth blacktop up the slope to the east of the farm in the mid 1960s. Evidently you could see it in your headlights going both directions, north or south (optical illusion, silhouette of a mail box and ???, post?, bush?). How do I know? Because my dad saw it and wrote a poem about it in the Washington County Post, ca 1962ish. Dig out your old copies of the WCP and you'll find some regular poetry contributions by "Miro Aleste". That's Spanish for "I look to the West". Col. Charles Raymond (1909-1989, USMA 1931, US Artillery, ret 1961) would remark on some fantastic sunsets from our vantage on West Main St, evidently his nom-de-plume's inspiration (we'd just returned from two years in Nicaragua, US Army Mission.)  George, are you kidding me!!!  What a hoot!!!  (I'll see if I can dig out Dad's camel poem from the archives.)

For unto us a child is born (Isaiah, Luke)

John Davis '65 Kodak, TN
Regarding the Burma Shave signs....I rode with Donnie Schneider a lot in my high school days, and we were always going so fast down 22 that I don't think either of us ever noticed them! Thank goodness old Donnie always kept his Dodge between the guard rails. Merry Christmas to all my classmates, and to anyone who reads this post. Great job with this sight, Pauline.

Bob Dering '52 and Betty (Shuttleworth) Dering (She still is a Lake Girl)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my class mates and their extended families. A special greeting to you Pauline. Betty and I follow your postings on Face Book.

Merry Christmas to all.No PC here!

Elizabeth and Beaver Ross, Class of 1965  Lake Worth FL

As for Beaver and I, we are very good. He loves retirement and I am finding lots to do.

I love Lake Worth. I have been coming here almost 50 years.  It is much bigger than Cambridge but in so many ways it has that all town feel.

We would love to have visitors and may soon be doing Air B& B at one of Our houses.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday
