Presently not a lot of social
activities. Have been remodeling our homes in Florida and New York for
several years and taking care of Mom full time since 2002. Take short
vacations each year to a different place. L.A., Maine, Colorado, Arizona,
and the Caribbean for a cruise. Have traveled extensively throughout the
U.S., Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and parts of Europe. I enjoy exploring new
places and visiting long time friends. Have been an avid hiker, backpacker,
water skier. Current hiking is done on a tread mill at the YMCA in Florida
and Murray Hollow Rd. in Shushan. Paint occasionally and make jewelry. Love
to garden. Two years ago, Larry McLenithan and I opened a flower and
vegetable stand, "Corn etc.", at his farm on 313. Stop by. |

Favorite Teacher(s): |
Ruth Weir was a great math
teacher. She made it interesting for me despite the fact that I hated it.
She was also my neighbor. I took care of her for a number of years during
and after high school. She was a woman far ahead of her time. Ruth was
fearless and independent, when it wasn't in vogue. She shared wonderful
stories of her youth and travels with me. I think that is partly what
inspired me to explore the world on my own. |
