Text Box: Hello CCS Alum!                                  August 14, 2008 For the past five years I have been participating in an endurance event program, Team in Training, which fundraises for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. One of the main reasons I started running was when I lost one of my good friends and former CCS classmates, Mike Lacasse to leukemia. Six months later, I lost a close friend from college... It was crazy to me that this could happen to people my age, young, healthy college grads so I was inspired to get out there and see what I could do about it. Every year I train for a marathon and raise money in an effort to find a cure and better the lives of patients currently undergoing treatment. I know many people in the community have been affected by similar occurrences and I have met countless people through my travels who have a connection. I run with all of them in my thoughts.
