The class officers were Lucille Santerre,
Helene Kwiatkowski, Margaret Dering, and Tom Dempsey
The yearbook staff included Betty Ann Jeskie, Margaret
Peabody, Margaret Dering, Betty West, Maryann O’Malley, and
Mary Jane Resendes.
The football team finished 5-1, outscoring their
opponents 274-76. The season started with a 73-6 walloping
of Warrensburg. In the final game they switched from 6-man
to 11-man and beat Greenwich 21-0. Seniors Tom Buckley, Tom
Dempsey, Kirby White, Carlton Peters, Charlie Estramonte,
and Bob Culver received lots of help from a strong group of
underclassmen.
Cheerleaders included Mary Jane Resendes, Maryann
O’Malley, Patsy McAvoy, Dorothy Dusha, Janet Isaksen,
Margaret Dering, Dorothy Taylor and coach Eva Nadeau (later
Hopkins)
Dick Dame, Kirby White, Richard McKernon, George Taylor,
Charlie Estramonte, Jim Arnold, Bob Culver, Tom Buckley, Don
Record, and Garret Albert. The team ended 11-7 with 7 games
decided by 5 points of less. However, there was a
devastating loss 103-47 to Stillwater.
